About

Carys Huws (b. 1991) is a Welsh female photographer based in London, working mostly in the areas of portrait, fashion, commercial and editorial. Previously residing and working in Berlin, she has also shot in LA, Iceland, NYC, Detroit, Spain, Portugal and Dubai and enjoys working with international teams and talent.

Carys tells visual stories for renowned clients and publications globally, capturing people, fashion, places and objects through her intimate, sensitive and colourful lens. She has portrayed cultural icons in the arts and entertainment industry including Solange Knowles, Kaytranada, Peggy Gou, Dev Hynes, Kelly Lee Owens, Zebra Katz, Stormzy and Iggy Pop.

Prior to pursuing photography full-time, she studied a BA in Fashion Communication before going on to work at household names Dazed, AnOther, The Vinyl Factory, FACT Magazine and Red Bull Music Academy in London and Berlin. These years spent immersed in and documenting the arts, music and fashion worlds and travelling to cultural capitols across the world led her into a career as a photographer and influences her work today.
